Who Should Enroll?
Individuals who have been court-ordered to complete a batterer's treatment program and/or any men who have a history of, or are concerned about, being physically, sexually, emotionally, and/or verbally abusive toward their intimate partners.
If you have questions or would like to schedule an intake session, please call 701-352-8266 or email choicetochange@dvacnd.org.
Intake & Orientation
Meet with Choice to Change staff to complete paperwork process and introduce you to the group process.
If you are court-ordered to attend, written notification will be sent to the court indicating that you have completed your intake & orientation, and will begin group sessions.
Group
Twenty-four group sessions address key topics with activities designed to increase knowledge and explore beliefs and behaviors. Activities are geared to help batterers accept responsibility for their actions, learn what abusive choices and behaviors are and why they are not acceptable, and learn to make respectful choices within their relationships.
Exit Interview
After completion of 24 weeks of group, you will end the program with an exit interview.
This is your opportunity to provide us with your impressions of the program.
